Company Overview Morganton Eye Physicians PA is a well-established ophthalmology practice serving the Western region since 1974. With multiple clinic locations and outpatient surgery centers, our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality eye care services to our diverse patient community. Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of a small ophthalmology practice. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient office workflow, supervising staff, managing patient services, and supporting the delivery of high-quality eye care. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong administrative, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in a medical office setting. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the ophthalmology office Supervise and support front desk, optical and clinical support staff Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations Ensure smooth patient flow and a positive patient experience Coordinate appointment scheduling, referrals, and follow-ups Oversee medical billing, coding, and insurance verification processes Monitor office budgets, supplies, and vendor relationships Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA Address patient concerns and resolve administrative issues Collaborate with physicians, corporate managers, and local clinical staff to improve efficiency Experience 2-5 years of experience in medical office management (ophthalmology or optometry preferred) Knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance processes Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Skills & Competencies Leadership and team development Operational efficiency and workflow management Customer service and patient relations Attention to detail and problem-solving Time management and adaptability
