Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE
: Supervise the Front Desk Agents to ensure completion of essential duties necessary for an efficient Front Desk operation. Strive to increase Guest Satisfaction Scores.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: 1. Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner. 2. Supervise desk agents and workload during shift. Complete shift checklists as specified. 3. Run accurate room status reports in a timely manner and relay necessary information to housekeeping and maintenance departments. 4. Communicate with sales team and update daily group information; maintain and be familiar with future group reservations. Monitor and prepare group requirements and relay necessary information to effected departments and individuals. 5. Update shuttle book with any upcoming events such as wedding groups, reunions, engagement parties, etc. 6. Print cashiers report and verify balances. Complete bank deposits and send to bank daily, making sure enough change is in the draw. 7. Monitor key control to maintain hotel security. 8. Print guest recovery report and follow-up with any guest issues as needed. 9. Monitor out of order rooms and notify the manager. 10. Check availability and balance room inventory as needed. 11. Notify manager of any supplies needed to be ordered. 12. Respond to guest question regarding the hotel. Know the lay out of the hotel including all rooms, suites, , meeting rooms and public areas of hotel and hours of operations. 13. Keep front desk updated of any new required brand training deadlines. Coach and train front desk agents as needed. 14. Ensure all front desk agent are properly groomed and are uniformed at all times with name tag. 15. Responsible for preparing and conducting front desk meetings. 16. Maintain good working relationships and open lines of communication with all other departments.
Knowledge and Skills :
Education:
High School education or equivalent experience.
Experience:
1-2 years supervisory experience in a hotel or other customer relations position.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate in English. Second language desirable. Ability to achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction. Ability to handle cash and credit transactions. Ability to enforce all company rules and SOPs. Supervisory skills.' '
