Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an in-person, detail-oriented and proactive Office Manager/ Bookkeeper to join our general contracting team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, attendance, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry of journal entries, debits & credits, and account analysis. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy across all financial accounts. Process payroll accurately and efficiently using payroll software; handle payroll taxes and related filings. Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records; ensure timely payments and collections. Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Utilize accounting software platforms like QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems to streamline bookkeeping operations. Skills Extensive experience with accounting software including QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial systems. Strong understanding of corporate accounting practices as well as non-profit accounting standards. Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis, report writing, and account reconciliation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as 10 key typing, account analysis, budgeting support, and general ledger accounting efficiently. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
