$80,000 - $100,000 per year Role Summary Our organization is a thriving automotive group with a sixty-year history and four active locations. We are currently looking for a skilled Office Manager / Full-Charge Bookkeeper who can lead our financial operations, oversee payroll, maintain tax compliance, and manage human resources. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is eager to advance their career and contribute to our ongoing expansion. Core Responsibilities Financial Operations Handle DCS communications with manufacturers, including daily posting and reconciliation. Record all transactions related to vehicle sales. Facilitate vehicle payoffs for trade-ins as well as new and pre-owned inventory. Post and reconcile funding for contracts to ensure accurate records. Verify and correct discrepancies by reconciling schedules. Oversee daily accounting workflows across all four of our dealership sites. Generate and distribute monthly financial reports to franchises and floorplan lenders promptly. Work alongside our external CPA firm to coordinate end-of-year tax filings. Maintain strict adherence to dealership procedures and accounting standards. Drive process improvements and support internal audit planning to enhance operational efficiency. Payroll Administration Manage the input, setup, and reconciliation of payroll data. Record payroll entries into the general ledger. Process and record 401(k) contributions. Human Resources Manage the onboarding process, terminations, and the application of company policies. Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs. Coordinate the management of workers' compensation claims. Execute the processing of wage garnishments. Insurance Management Oversee all corporate insurance programs, including Garage Keepers Liability, Workers' Compensation, Disability, and company-sponsored health plans. Tax Reporting Account for and submit co-op advertising claims. Prepare and file regular Sales Tax returns for both New York and New Jersey. Review and submit filings for Luxury Tax. Review and submit filings for Tire Waste Tax. Leadership Provide supervision and performance reviews for office and accounting support personnel. Maintain high standards of accuracy and efficient workflows throughout the dealership accounting department. Required Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in progressive accounting roles. Proven capability in managing and leading staff members. Minimum of an Associate Degree in Accounting. Direct experience working within the automotive retail industry.
