The Property Management Department engages with tenants throughout their housing journey, from the initial process of viewing prospective units through move-out, while ensuring compliance with all applicable subsidies and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) requirements. Bridge housing encompasses a variety of housing models, funding sources, and external partnerships. The team serves a diverse population of tenants, including individuals with serious mental health conditions, high rates of co-occurring substance use disorders, histories of trauma and homelessness, seniors, veterans, young adults aging out of the foster care system, individuals involved in the criminal justice system, and a small number of families. We believe that with stable housing, our clients and tenants are better positioned to achieve success. The Office Manager is an essential member of The Bridge's Property Management team, providing administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth and effective management of housing operations. The Office Manager serves as a welcoming point of contact for tenants, applicants, staff, and external partners while supporting rent collection, lease administration, recertification, court case tracking, and property management data systems. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
Essential Position Functions :
Welcome and assist tenants who visit the main office. Manage, organize, and catalog all current scattered-site leases. Ensure all rent invoices are mailed to tenants on time each month. Assist with rent collection and meet with tenants as needed. Assist with data entry in RealPage/OneSite. Track all court cases and maintain an active calendar. Perform general administrative duties, including copying, filing, and assisting with recertification charting. Gather all income and identification information for apartment applicants. Follow up on missing documents with relevant staff and third parties. Screen all incoming calls, transfer calls to appropriate staff, and take and distribute messages. Reconcile received payments for bank deposits. Attend internal and external meetings, supervision, and trainings, as required. Assist with creating and sending certified letters, including, but not limited to, rent demands, recertification notices, and benefit letters. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
Associate degree preferred. Tax credit and benefits experience is a plus. Previous experience in property management, preferably in a social service setting; experience working in mental health settings or customer service is also preferred. Strong interpersonal communication, computer, and organizational skills. Experience with OneSite property management software and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of AWARDS preferred.
