Job Summary We are full-service union construction firm, seeking a dynamic and highly organized Office Manager/Controller to lead our financial operations and oversee administrative functions within our organization. This pivotal role combines strategic financial management with efficient office administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a productive work environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, bookkeeping and financial planning to assist the operations department in ongoing projects and continued growth. Pay for this position is dependent on experience. Responsibilities Manage company's books, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, sales tax/fuel tax processing, and cash management to ensure accurate and timely financial data for president to review. Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance. Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, coordinating with external auditors and accounting firms ensuring adherence to regulatory reporting requirements. Conduct cost accounting analysis and budgeting activities to support strategic decision-making for operational leaders. Requirements Strong technical expertise in construction financial management. Proficiency in construction accounting software such as Foundation. Strong understanding of cash flow management, payroll processing, and financial analysis techniques. Union experience preferred, but not required Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in high-pressure environments. Excellent communication skills for preparing clear financial reports. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field preferred but not required.
