Job Description

Job Overview The Box Office Manager plays a central role in shaping the patron experience from first interaction through event attendance. This position oversees all ticketing operations, manages Box Office staff, and serves as the primary resource for ticketing strategy, system management, and sales execution. Responsibilities span ticketing operations, revenue generation, customer service, and team management, ensuring that all events are built, sold, and supported with accuracy and efficiency while consistently reflecting the organization's commitment to exceptional service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ticketing Operations & Event Management Oversee the setup and maintenance of all events in the ticketing system, including seating inventory, holds, pricing, promotions, and VIP arrangements. Ensure accuracy across all ticketing platforms and serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, promoters, and partners. Coordinate subscription packages, rentals, and special ticketing needs in alignment with organizational and artist requirements. Staff Leadership & Customer Experience Supervise, schedule, and support Box Office staff, ensuring strong coverage, consistent procedures, and high customer service standards. Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members. Serve as the primary escalation point for patron concerns and staff support, fostering a positive and solutions-oriented environment. Sales & Reporting Drive ticket revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and promotional strategies in collaboration with Marketing and other departments. Monitor sales performance and generate reports on revenue, attendance, and marketing sources. Analyze trends and provide insights to support organizational decision-making and improve patron engagement. Financial Oversight & Systems Management Oversee daily cash handling, reconciliation, and deposits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures. Maintain expertise in the ticketing system, leading system improvements, testing, and staff training. Collaborate with Finance and Marketing, coordinating additional support as needed to ensure accurate reporting, system functionality, and seamless integrations. Staff Management & Team Development Customer Service Excellence Technical Proficiency Attention to Detail Problem Solving & Decision Making Education and Experience Associate's degree in arts administration, business, hospitality, or related field required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience in the following areas is considered essential: Box office or ticketing operations Staff supervision and team leadership Customer service in a high-volume environment Ticketing or database management systems (e.g., Tessitura or similar)
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
