Job Description

Busy public accounting firm is looking for a member to join our team. We are looking for an experienced full-charge bookkeeper/office manager. Preference given to those with payroll, public accounting and tax preparation experience. Solid organizational, communication and customer service skills are a must. Full-time from Dec-May, and part-time Jun-Nov. Possible year-round full-time position for the right candidate, if desired. Eligible candidates must agree to and pass a background check due to the confidential and secure nature of the services provided. Responsibilities Enter monthly bookkeeping and reconcile client accounts Client communication management via Outlook and our client portal system, TaxDome. any questions to clients and follow up prior to review Payroll processing - includes gathering information from clients, calculate payroll, and submit to payroll processing provider. Process employee benefit payments Manage client files and records Tax preparation date entry Skills Experience as full-charge bookkeeper, minimum 5 years Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices Knowledge of public accounting rules and regulations Proficient in MS Office, Outlook and Quickbooks (desktop and online) Trustworthy with attention to detail and client confidentiality Outstanding organizational ability with attention to detail Excellent communication skills High school diploma or equivalent This is an in-house position, remote applicants need not apply.
