Office and Operations Manager Justice for Migrant Families Buffalo, NY Job Details Part-time $25 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off Qualifications Employee onboarding Record keeping Spanish Community engagement Teamwork Operations management Phone communication Event coordination English Mid-level Administrative experience Social media platforms Financial record maintenance Facebook Office management Onboarding process management Referral coordination Bookkeeping Instagram Communication skills Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description This person will be the lead office manager and assist with administrative support, with regular interaction with all those who have contact with Justice for Migrant Families, including staff, volunteers, members, and families and individuals. This position requires in person availability, with an occasional remote option. The position is mainly daytime hours, with occasional options for evening or weekend hours. This person will be on call by phone one to two times a week.
Duties will include:
Being present in the office and keeping JFMF organized and responsive: Communicate office updates and hours Track, forward, and respond to mail, execute organizational mailings Return calls, manage voicemail system Make referrals to commonly requested resources Supporting the office structures that keep JFMF engaged with community: Maintain organization of the system of incoming support requests and follow ups Respond to new volunteer inquiries. Complete initial onboarding process until new volunteers are connected to program coordinators Join event planning teams, and lead on the event logistics Scheduling, including scheduling interpreters Join the JFMF team; work together towards organizational goals: Participate in staff meetings and annual retreat Participate in some organizational trainings Collaborate with bookkeeping to keep good records, track donations and be responsive to donors Collect and organize photographic records of JFMF events Occasionally post to Instagram and Facebook Requirements Conversational or above in Spanish; fluent written and spoken English Trustworthy and ethical, able to set and uphold standard of respect and care in diverse work setting Experience in direct community work Strong interpersonal and listening skills Clear and comprehensible oral and written communication Collaborative approach to creative problem solving Comfortable with digital communications platforms and digital formatting Ability to keep good records and use online platforms Sufficient awareness of immigrant justice to ensure that the JFMF office is a welcoming place
