State Transportation Innovation Council Manager (Administrative Officer 2) (DOT Only)

THE POSITION
The State Transportation Innovation Council Manager position with the Department of Transportation provides a dynamic role for individuals ready to lead innovation and support long-term transportation improvements. You will help teams develop new ideas, guide statewide initiatives and keep partners informed and engaged. This role encourages leadership, creativity, and collaboration at every step. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position manages statewide efforts that support the research, development, and deployment of transportation innovations across PennDOT. As a State Transportation Innovation Council Manager, you will perform the following duties:
Innovation Leadership:
Direct activities that support the development and implementation of statewide innovations
Program Coordination:
Oversee STIC meetings, schedules, and administrative processes
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with agencies, partners and industry representatives to advance innovation goals
Performance Monitoring:
Review progress, track innovation status, and maintain program measures
Communication Development:
Prepare presentations, reports, and outreach materials for internal and external audiences
Event Management:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Overtime and travel as required
Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after successful completion of training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as an Administrative Officer 1; or Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
