Job Description
Desk Manager — Run the Desk at a High-Volume Independent Store Keith McCoy Automotive is a growing independent dealership in Garland moving 50-70 units a month — and we're scaling. We're looking for an experienced Desk Manager with a minimum of 5 years desking deals who can take full ownership of the desk: structure every deal, work hand-in-hand with our Finance Manager, hold gross, and close the ones that walk. This is a real desk with real volume, not a title on a business card. If you know how to build a deal from the ground up and you're tired of having your hands tied, we want to talk. What You'll Do Desk 100% of the deals — structure, payment calls, and closing on every unit that goes out the door Work side by side with our Finance Manager on lender submissions, approvals, stips, and funding — structuring deals that get bought and maximize the back end Push for maximum front and back-end gross while keeping deals clean and compliant T.O. every customer and step in on the tough ones Train, coach, and hold the sales floor accountable to daily activity and closing ratios Manage the daily log, track ups, and keep the board honest Work with ownership on inventory mix, pricing, and what's actually turning What We're Looking For Minimum 5 years of hands-on desking experience at a dealership — this is a firm requirement You can structure a deal in your sleep and defend every number on it Deep familiarity with subprime and prime lender programs, and the ability to get tough deals bought Proven ability to work well with F&I — you protect the back end, you don't fight it Strong closer who leads from the floor, not the office Comfortable with CRM and DMS platforms; able to run and read your own numbers Track record of building and developing salespeople Valid driver's license and clean MVR Strongly Preferred Candidates who can bring their own sales team. If you have people who will follow you, that's a major advantage in this process — we have the inventory, the lenders, and the floor traffic to support a full crew, and we'll pay accordingly for the production they bring. Come in with your own guys and there's real room to build something here. Why Keith McCoy Automotive Independent store — decisions get made same-day, not sent up a corporate chain 50-70 units a month and growing, with ownership investing in expansion Direct access to the owner; your input on inventory and pricing actually gets heard No ceiling on what you can build if you produce
