Bayshore Nursing & Rehab is committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate financial operations of our facility.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Office Manager to oversee all business office functions, including billing, resident trust accounts, payroll coordination, accounts receivable and payable, and compliance with company policies, state, and federal regulations. As a Business Office Manager, you will serve as a key liaison between residents, families, vendors, and corporate accounting, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the business office, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial and administrative processes. Oversee and process resident billing for private pay, Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance claims. Monitor accounts receivable, prepare aging reports, and follow up on outstanding balances. Assist residents and families with financial questions, payment arrangements, and Medicaid applications as needed. Maintain resident trust accounts in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and timely payment of accounts payable. Reconcile cash, bank accounts, and other financial records monthly. Coordinate with corporate billing and payroll departments to ensure compliance and accuracy. Prepare and submit required reports to corporate management and regulatory agencies. Maintain organized and confidential financial files for residents and the facility.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Minimum of 2-3 years of business office management experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting strongly preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing processes required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (experience with PointClickCare or similar systems preferred). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.
