Administrative Assistant- Strategy and Project Management Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama United States, Alabama, Birmingham Sep 09, 2026 Overview Department Overview The Strategy and Project Management Division drives the execution of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama's strategic priorities. We work closely with the executive leadership team and divisional leaders to identify strategic opportunities, align goals across functions, and provide actionable recommendations that will have direct business impacts. We support the development of the Corporate Strategy setting process, including a three to five year strategic vision, an annual strategy refresh, and use the Enterprise Risk Management Program to address key issues and opportunities across the business. We provide company-wide guidance and execute projects using Project Management standardized processes, best practices, tools and techniques. We manage all enterprise project portfolios and lead or participate in a broad range of programs and projects, gaining exposure to all functions across the business. Primary Responsibilities This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely accomplishment of all basic administrative duties and functions, confidential and otherwise. Activities required by incumbents may vary by departmental needs. Summary of Qualifications Previous administrative support experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience using Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience in a customer contact position communicating information
Experience organizing and prioritizing tasks
Experience working with highly confidential information
Experience working under little or no supervision
Experience interacting with all levels of staff
Blue Plan experience preferred
Project management experience preferred
Previous administrative executive level support experience preferred Work Location The work schedule for this position will be full time onsite.
