Position Information Position Title Administrative Assistant Status Full Time Job Summary The primary role of the assistant is to provide assistance and support to the Mathematics Department dean and to the other mathematics faculty. Essential Job Duties The Department seeks a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include supporting our managers and employees, assisting with daily office needs, and managing general departmental administrative activities. Administrative and Clerical responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining office inventory; managing purchase orders, invoices, and account balances; scheduling and coordinating meetings and events; providing budgetary assistance; processing and routing paperwork; drafting correspondence; maintaining files; and assisting faculty with research grant submissions. In addition, the administrative assistant will be responsible for assisting with phone inquiries and student inquiries regarding faculty contact and curriculum. Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) Bachelor's degree or some college work Will consider high school graduate with some years of secretarial experiences Physical Demands No Skills and Attributes Excellent record keeping skills Excellent telephone skills Strong interpersonal skills Posting Detail Information Posting Number Will this position required travel?
