Extra-Help Student Intern

Please Note:

Extra-Help employees are not entitled to County benefits and are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week. This position will be assigned to work with Department of Workforce Investment. Duties may include, but not limited to the following: The Extra Help Student Intern will provide general assistance while gaining valuable work experience. Assignments will vary depending on the needs of the Department. Performs diversified clerical duties as assigned. May assist in completing various departmental projects/ reports. Prepare information and research materials. Shadow multiple office positions and train on a variety of tasks. Assists with operational and administrative functions.

Student Intern Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in project or grant management. Experience in coaching and mentoring. Possession of a valid California Driver's License. General Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to perform job assignments in a timely and efficient manner. Must be able to adjust to unexpected changes in work demand to meet deadlines. Ability to take on tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Desire to learn and professionally grow. Ability to embrace and live the County's Core Integrity.
