Administrative Assistant II Location:
Carlsbad, CA (100% onsite)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday (hours flexible)
Duration:
2-year contract (potential to convert FTE)
Pay Range:
$20.50-25.50/hr Our client, a regional utility company, is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to support the timekeeping function for its North Coast Electric district. This role is central to ensuring accurate, on-time pay period closings while also providing broader administrative support to the department, including schedules, logs, and other day-to-day office functions.
Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will manage and support timekeeping and administrative operations within the North Coast Electric district.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing and maintaining timekeeping records for the district, ensuring pay period deadlines are consistently met with minimal to no errors Maintaining schedules, logs, and other administrative tracking documents Adapting to evolving processes and priorities as the company and department needs change Supporting the department during high-pace periods, particularly around pay period closings
Essential Job Duties and Job Functions:
Provide administrative support to the department, including word processing, filing, faxing, and answering phones Receive and direct visitors Coordinate scheduling, meetings, and conferences Maintain financial and timekeeping record keeping Obtain supplies and sort/distribute mail Support special projects as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines and close pay periods accurately, even under high-pace conditions Ability to adapt to changing processes and priorities Familiarity with MS Office required
Education and Experience:
High school diploma required
Level II:
2-5 years of relevant administrative experience ...
