Job Description

We are looking for a part-time Office Assistant to support daily administrative operations in Cerritos, California. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who is organized, service-oriented, and comfortable assisting visitors while managing clerical tasks in a well-organized office setting. The person in this role will help keep records accurate, coordinate appointments and service-related scheduling, and contribute to a welcoming and well-maintained office environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Welcome visitors, respond to general questions, and provide courteous front-office support.
  • Help guests locate property information and guide them to the appropriate resources or staff members.
  • Coordinate appointments and assist with service scheduling, including communication with external partners when needed.
  • Prepare customer paperwork, process payments, and support the creation of daily administrative orders.
  • Create and maintain both electronic and paper files while entering customer and decedent information into internal databases.
  • Organize records, sort incoming mail, and assist with document review to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain the appearance of the lobby and office by restocking forms, arranging shared spaces, and monitoring supply levels.
  • Track headstone deliveries and placements, then communicate updates regarding missing markers to customers and internal team members.
  • Participate in staff meetings and provide general clerical assistance to support office operations and departmental needs.
