Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and bilingual Administrative Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Coachella, California. The role is centered around supporting the daily operations of the City Senior Center, where you will assist with administrative tasks and event coordination. This position offers the opportunity to engage with the local community and contribute to a welcoming environment for senior members.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations at the Senior Center to ensure an efficient and friendly atmosphere.
• Plan, organize, and execute events such as Bingo nights, dance classes, and community gatherings.
• Provide logistical support by setting up and breaking down for in-person events.
• Greet visitors and assist senior center members in both English and a second language, ensuring clear communication.
• Coordinate communication between staff, instructors, participants, and external vendors.
• Maintain accurate records, calendars, and other administrative documentation.
• Monitor and order supplies while preparing materials for various activities.
• Promote events by updating flyers and bulletin boards.
• Foster a positive environment by offering courteous and proactive service to all guests.
