Our front desk team plays a vital role in setting the tone for every patient interaction. Position Overview We are hiring a Medical Assistant/Front Desk Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for our patients, both in person and over the phone. This is a key role in our office and requires someone who is highly organized, friendly, dependable, and thrives in a busy environment. This vital role combines clinical duties with front desk responsibilities, ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient experiences. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing compassionate service while supporting medical staff with essential clinical tasks. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Obtain and record vital signs, patient histories, and current medications accurately to support clinical assessments. Prepare exam rooms, assist providers during patient examinations, and perform basic clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and specimen collection. Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake documentation, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic flow. Maintain precise medical documentation including medical records, ICD coding for diagnoses, and detailed notes in EMR/EHR systems. Support clinical staff with tasks related to physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, pharmacology basics, and hospital medicine protocols. Ensure compliance with infection control standards and assist in managing medical supplies inventory for the clinic's daily operations. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office role with familiarity in medical administrative support and clinical procedures. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding. Experience working in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools essential for accurate documentation. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations including geriatrics and inpatient settings. Ability to handle fast-paced environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers with professionalism and precision. Preferred Experience Experience using Symplast EMR (preferred) Experience working with CRMs and lead management systems Sales and customer service experience (strong bonus) Experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, med spa, or aesthetic medicine settings Application Notes (Please Read) We anticipate receiving a high volume of applications.
