Job Description

Under minimal direction, provide advanced administrative support to Pastors, Worship & Music Dept and other ministries as needed. Coordinate office operations. Manage projects and communications in an environment with many stakeholders. Primary Duties 1.
Front Desk and Communication Duties:
Greet visitors, manage calls and emails, direct those in need to community services, and coordinate with office volunteers on front desk responsibilities. 2.
Administrative and Logistical Support:
Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to Pastors, Worship & Music Department, Session and church leadership. Coordinate logistics with custodians, etc., for church events, meetings, and worship services. 3.
Project and Office Management:
Prioritize and coordinate various projects in a complex office environment while managing supplies and facility-related needs. 4.
Scheduling Oversight:
Communicate weekly custodial facility schedules effectively. 5.
Event and Ceremony Coordination:
Assist with wedding administration and oversee Life-End, Memorials, Membership, & New Officer onboarding processes. 6.
Pastoral Support:
Represent pastors in their absence by handling communications and responding to inquiries and requests. 7.
Communication Duties:
Compose, edit, and review pastoral communications and publications. 8.
Database, Statistics, and Calendar Maintenance:
Maintain church databases, statistics and official church documents. Update the church calendar with facility requests. 9.
Collaboration and Initiative:
Work collaboratively with all staff, taking initiative and completing assigned projects and duties with minimal guidance. Knowledge and Experience 1. More than five years of progressively responsible experience in an office setting. 2. Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred. 3. Excellent management, interpersonal, customer service and computer skills including Word, Excel, Google suite, and Canva. 4. Exceptional phone, written and oral communication skills. Discretion in handling confidential matters. 5. Sound judgment and flexibility in a multi-task, multi-shareholder environment. 6. Ability to work well with all types of people, including staff, congregation, volunteers and others. 7. Ability to understand the mission of the church and the objectives of the pastoral staff. 8. Biblical knowledge. 9. In agreement with the doctrinal and moral principles of the First Presbyterian Church and the EPC (epc.org/beliefs). Physical Requirements Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time. Pay:
$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
