Guidepost Montessori is seeking an Interim School Administrator to support our school during a temporary assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and families, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is interested in building a long-term career in school leadership. While this position is initially a full-time contract role , high-performing team members may have the opportunity to transition into a permanent position. About the Role As our Interim School Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the school while creating a welcoming experience for children, families, and staff. You'll divide your time between front office administration and supporting classrooms, giving you a well-rounded understanding of how a successful Montessori school operates. Along the way, you'll gain valuable experience in admissions, family engagement, school operations, and educational leadership. In this role, you will: Welcome and assist families, visitors, and prospective parents. Answer phones, respond to emails, and provide exceptional customer service. Support school operations, scheduling, supply ordering, and administrative projects. Assist with admissions by scheduling tours, managing inquiries, and supporting enrollment efforts. Utilize school systems and CRM platforms to maintain accurate records and communication. Float into classrooms as needed to support teachers and children throughout the day. Build positive relationships with families and help foster a strong school community. Partner closely with the Head of School and Assistant Head of School to ensure smooth daily operations. Learn the operational and leadership responsibilities that prepare you for future school leadership opportunities. Meet You If You:
Have a Bachelor's degree. Enjoy working with children and building relationships with families. Have previous administrative, customer service, hospitality, education, or office experience. Are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities. Communicate professionally and confidently with parents and colleagues. Learn new technology and systems quickly. Are comfortable supporting both office operations and classrooms as needed. Take initiative, solve problems proactively, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
