The Role As an Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to help lead daily operations and create a positive, high-performing team environment. You won't just be managing a shift—you'll be helping build the culture of a new Rare Earth Coffee location. What You'll Do Lead shifts and help ensure smooth, efficient daily operations Set the tone for a positive, energetic, and customer-focused environment Coach, train, and develop baristas to meet Rare Earth standards Help onboard and train new team members Ensure drinks and products are prepared consistently and accurately Provide excellent customer service and help resolve customer concerns Maintain speed and efficiency during busy periods Assist with opening and closing procedures Handle cash and POS responsibilities accurately Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and food-safety standards Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management Support scheduling, shift coverage, and team communication Hold team members accountable to company standards while maintaining a positive culture Help identify opportunities to improve sales, service, speed, and team performance Lead by example and jump in wherever needed Support the Store/Regional Manager with additional operational and leadership responsibilities What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: A natural leader who enjoys helping others succeed Positive, energetic, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Reliable and dependable Comfortable giving direction and holding others accountable Strong in communication and customer service Organized and able to multitask Someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be asked Comfortable working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Passionate about creating a great experience for both customers and team members Previous leadership, shift lead, coffee shop, restaurant, or quick-service experience is strongly preferred.
