Fire Pay Range $ 33.15- $46.35 Hourly Midpoint $ 39.75 Hourly Starting salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range. Each offer depends on the candidate's experience and qualifications, internal pay equity, and available budget. Salary offers are negotiated individually based on these factors.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
This integral role assists with managing correspondence, scheduling, and records, assists with reports and department communications, and supports special projects that touch everything from emergency response readiness to community outreach. This position works under the general guidance of the Fire Chief, with room to use your own judgment and initiative in daily tasks, and take on other related duties as they arise. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
This is a full-time, in-person position with a typical Monday-Friday schedule of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. A 9/80 alternative work schedule with alternating Fridays or Mondays off, may be available. Selection will be based on overall qualifications, skills testing (if applicable) , and an interview process. The f inal candidate selected will be subject to a comprehensive background/reference check commensurate to the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED Two (2) years of experience in an office setting Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver's license
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to type 50 words per minute Four ( 4 ) or more years of experience in a fast-paced environment Intermediate level of proficiency with all MS Office products such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel , and SharePoint Experience in local government or the public sector Experie nce fulfil ling p ublic records requests
