About the Position San Carlos School is seeking a caring, dependable, and dedicated Office Assistant to join our school office team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, is comfortable in a busy school environment, and is willing to jump in wherever support is needed. A faith-based candidate is preferred, but not required . The ideal candidate will appreciate our Catholic school environment and be committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive experience for our students and families. This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM-12:30 PM , for approximately 25 hours per week. Responsibilities May Include Assisting with daily school office operations and administrative tasks Monitoring and recording student attendance Supporting students who come to the office throughout the school day Caring for students who are hurt, feeling unwell, or need assistance Contacting parents and guardians when needed Providing a welcoming and helpful first point of contact for students, families, and visitors Entering and maintaining student and school information in databases and other systems Filing, organizing, copying, scanning, and other general office duties Assisting teachers and staff with various administrative needs Helping maintain an organized and efficient school office Supporting school activities and events as needed Maintaining student confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately Performing other duties as assigned to support the school community The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Caring, patient, and compassionate when working with children Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently Friendly and professional when communicating with students, parents, and staff Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable handling multiple tasks and changing priorities Comfortable using computers and learning new software and systems Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment A team player who is willing to help wherever needed Comfortable working in a busy elementary and middle school environment Supportive of the values and mission of San Carlos School Faith-based or familiar with a Catholic school environment preferred, but not required Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
