Keen Home Care & Homes has an opportunity for a Companion/Personal Assistant to provide companionship and support to an 83-year-old female client with memory loss in the Old Town Norco, CA area . This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, patient, and enjoys helping seniors maintain their independence. Must be comfortable working around animals, including horses, donkeys, dogs, etc. As a Companion/Personal Assistant, you will : Provide companionship and emotional support Assist with community errands and appointments Drive the client to local errands and activities Prepare basic meals and assist with meal preparation Provide general assistance and support with daily activities Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment Encourage independence and participation in daily activities Provide friendly and patient support to a client experiencing memory loss Assist with other reasonable personal assistant and companion duties as needed Companion/Personal Assistant job requirements : Must be 18 years old Fluent English-speaking skills Must have a reliable personal vehicle Valid driver's license and current car insurance required Must be comfortable around animals, including horses, donkeys, and dogs Must be able to drive the client for community errands Must be able to pass a criminal background check Knowledge and understanding of dementia/memory loss is preferred, but we are willing to provide training Basic cooking and meal preparation skills Patient, compassionate, dependable, and responsible Willing to complete the registration process as a Personal Care Aide with the California Department of Social Services Previous caregiving, companion, or senior care experience is preferred
