Job Description
We are looking for a dependable Office Assistant to support a growing team in California. This is a contract position suited for someone who can be onsite part-time for a few hours each week to help keep the workplace organized, functional, and ready for daily operations. The role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who notices what needs attention, responds quickly, and helps create a smooth office experience for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a tidy, well-organized office environment that feels welcoming throughout the week.
- Oversee shared spaces such as the kitchen and refrigerator area to ensure cleanliness and proper stocking or upkeep.
- Accept deliveries, sort incoming packages, and make sure items reach the appropriate recipients or storage locations.
- Check the office regularly for maintenance, supply, or workspace issues and address them or escalate them as needed.
- Prepare conference rooms and common areas in advance of meetings or team gatherings.
- Provide front-office and general clerical support, including document handling, scanning, and related administrative tasks.
- Assist with basic receptionist-style duties, such as answering inbound calls and helping direct inquiries appropriately.
- Support evolving office operations as business needs grow, which may include coordinating vendors, improving routines, or assisting with onboarding and workplace logistics.
