Job Summary Job Summary As a substitute with the San Luis Coastal Unified School District you will have the opportunity to pursue day-to-day and/or long-term assignments as they become available, and will have the ability to select open assignments based on your preferred locations and your availability. Assignments are in-person, and may be at school sites in San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, and/or Los Osos, or our District Office in San Luis Obispo. Essential Elements:
Print Clerical or Library Substitutes for the San Luis Coastal Unified School District may pick up or be called on to fill assignments for school sites (both elementary and secondary) or district offices. Substitutes may work directly with elementary and/or secondary students, depending on work location, and must be willing to assist with basic first aid to students. Computer literacy, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and prior office experience are desirable. Bilingual skills are a plus. Additionally, typing skills are also desirable, preferably with the ability to type 45+ words per minute. Usual schedules for substitute assignments are within the hours of 7:30 a.m.-4:40 p.m. on school days. Fingerprint and TB clearance are required prior to hire. This is a substitute position with no guaranteed hours or benefits. Candidates must be available at least two days per week.
