Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our medical office, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for working in a medical environment.
In terms of scheduling:
We are looking for several candidates. Ideally weekly, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays available applications are welcome. Duties Greet patients and manage the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage patient records efficiently. Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical history and insurance information. Support healthcare providers by preparing examination rooms and ensuring necessary equipment is available. Administer basic life support as needed and assist with medication administration under supervision. Coordinate with various departments such as X-Ray, OR, and urgent care to facilitate patient care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment. Handle phone inquiries and provide information regarding services offered at the facility. We are a non-insurance based, boutique, clinic and urgent care. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred. Phlebotomy is a plus Spanish speaking is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining patient confidentiality. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is desirable.
