Englewood, CO Job Details Full-time $55,000 - $60,000 a year 22 hours ago Qualifications Court record maintenance E-filing platforms Filing Law office experience Pleadings filing assistance Full Job Description Burg Simpson Legal Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the support of Shareholder and senior-level attorneys in a pre-litigation and litigation environment; conduct conflict checks, set-up and assist with the maintenance of large electronic and paper files; request of medical, financial, and other case-related documents and records; electronic filing in both state and federal courts; identify, calculate and calendar state and federal deadlines (docketing); scheduling of client meetings, depositions, meetings, hearings, and travel. Legal Assistants have direct client contact. The position requires reliable team players with a friendly, positive attitude and a high level of professionalism that will play a key support role to ensure our clients are well served, and: 3+ years of working in a litigation law firm 2+ years' experience docketing (identifying, calculating, and calendaring federal and state statutory deadlines) Experience with electronic filing in both state and federal courts and in various federal jurisdictions Be an exceptional listener and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Must have excellent attention to detail and be willing to take initiative
