The Parish Secretary serves as the primary administrative support person for Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Parish and is responsible for a wide range of parish operations, financial administration, sacramental recordkeeping, communications, cemetery administration, facilities coordination, and support of the Pastor and parish ministries. The Parish Secretary must maintain strict confidentiality, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, and support the mission of the Catholic Church through professional and efficient parish office operations. Familiarity with the Catholic Church and its mission. Effective organizational abilities. Proficient interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Capacity to: Manage details Multitask Work under deadlines Uphold confidentiality concerning all information, records, and reports Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365, Gmail, Canva, WordPress, PayPro, and parish management systems.
Experience with bookkeeping, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Familiarity with standard office equipment and technology.
Commitment to supporting the mission and ministry of the Catholic Church. Manage parish office operations, communications, records, and correspondence.
Maintain sacramental, parishioner, cemetery, and religious education records.
Coordinate funerals, liturgical schedules, Mass intentions, and parish events.
Oversee parish finances, including bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Support Finance Council meetings and maintain official records and archives.
Coordinate maintenance, repairs, vendor relationships, and property services across parish facilities and cemeteries.
Update the parish website, prepare bulletins, and create parish communications and publications.
Provide administrative, operational, and pastoral support to parishioners, families, staff, and clergy
