full-time We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support a public accounting firm with the preparation and processing of individual and business tax returns. This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who is comfortable working with confidential financial information, managing multiple deadlines, and maintaining a high level of accuracy. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation, processing, and filing of individual and business tax returns, tax notices, and financial statements Processing of Form 1099s, payroll returns, and other miscellaneous forms Review tax documents for completeness, accuracy, and missing information. Enter and update financial and tax information into accounting/tax software. Organize and maintain electronic and paper tax files and client records. Communicate with clients to request missing tax documents and information. Track tax return status and ensure deadlines are met. Assist accountants and tax professionals with administrative and tax-related tasks. Prepare, scan, copy, upload, and distribute tax documents as needed. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information. Perform general administrative duties, including scheduling, correspondence, data entry, and filing. Provide additional support to the accounting team during busy tax seasons. Qualifications 2+ years of administrative, accounting, tax, or professional services experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfortable working with numbers and financial documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn and navigate tax preparation and accounting software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
