Administrative Assistant St David Armenian Apostolic Church Boca Raton, FL Job Details Part-time | Contract $21 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Executive administrative support Attention to detail Calendar management Organizational skills Newsletters (communication methods) Time management Full Job Description St. David Armenian Church is seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Parish Administrative Assistant / Church Secretary to assist with the daily administrative operations of the parish office. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Pastor, Parish Council, and church organizations while helping ensure the efficient and welcoming operation of the church office. The position also includes assisting with parish communications, including website updates, email marketing, and social media outreach.
Hours:
30 hours per week
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Compensation:
$20-$25/hr Responsibilities Prepare church correspondence, weekly Sunday bulletins, newsletters, and other communications. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner. Maintain church records, databases, calendars, and filing systems. Perform light bookkeeping and accounting duties, including recordkeeping and basic financial reporting. Order and maintain office supplies and materials. Assist the Pastor, Parish Council, and church organizations with administrative and organizational needs. Coordinate office activities and provide support for parish programs and special events. Create, schedule, and post content on the church's social media platforms, including Facebook and other online communication channels. Assist with maintaining parish communications, including email marketing and website updates. Create flyers, announcements, and promotional materials for church events and programs. Support general day-to-day office operations and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Previous secretarial, administrative, or office experience is required. Experience working in a church, nonprofit, or similar mission-driven organization preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and general office software. Experience with Constant Contact, Facebook, and other social media platforms preferred. Familiarity with website content management systems and digital communications is a plus. Experience with Canva or similar graphic design platforms is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional telephone etiquette and strong customer service skills. Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow established procedures. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, punctuality, and dependability. Personal Attributes The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, trustworthy, and committed to supporting the mission and ministry of St. David Armenian Church. Familiarity with church life, parish operations, and working with volunteers is highly desirable.
