Administrative Services Specialist Department of Justice Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys and the Office of the U.S. Attorneys Southern District of Florida, Administrative Division Summary The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida's mission is to enforce and defend the laws of the United States of America through the prosecution of criminal cases brought by the Federal government; the prosecution and defense of civil cases in which the United States is a party; and the collection of debts owed to the Federal government that are administratively uncollectible. This job is open to The public U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Career transition (CTAP, ICTAP, RPL) Federal employees whose job, agency or department was eliminated and are eligible for priority over other applicants. Clarification from the agency CTAP, ICTAP, all U.S. Citizens and Nationals Duties This Administrative Services Specialist provides advice and assistance to management and support staff on administrative policies, procedures, and requirements for the office. If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Administrative Services Specialist support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of Florida, located in Fort Pierce, Florida; West Palm Beach, Florida, focusing in the areas of administrative support and coordination; budget and finance; special projects.
Typical work assignments will include:
Manage administrative services such as space management, property accountability, facilities support, and procurement of office supplies and services. Coordinate internal offices and external service provide providers to ensure operational requirements are met. Analyze telecommunication needs of district staff and research available technology. Maintain and administer a variety of USAO budget and financial management activities. Specialized Experience:
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS- 09 level in the Federal service performing (obtained in either the public or private sectors) (2) of the (3) duties listed below: Performing administrative services such as space management; property accountability; facilities support; or procurement of office supplies and services; Assisting in analyzing financial cost data, variances to recommend corrective administrative action; Managing projects for management related to administrative services.
