Job Description

Looking for a reliable, resourceful person in Gainesville to help with a mix of local errands, project coordination, phone/computer work, and miscellaneous tasks. This is NOT a desk-only position. Some days may involve making calls, researching options, getting quotes, or scheduling appointments. Other days may involve picking something up, meeting a contractor, checking on a project, taking photos or measurements, making a return, or handling an errand around Gainesville. The ideal person can be given a goal, figure out how to accomplish it, follow up when necessary, and bring the task back completed without needing detailed instructions for every step.
Typical tasks may include:
  • Calling contractors/vendors and getting quotes and availability
  • Scheduling appointments and following up
  • Coordinating repairs and local projects
  • Meeting vendors or contractors when needed
  • Checking on projects and reporting back
  • Taking photos or measurements
  • Researching purchases and comparing options
  • Picking up or returning items
  • Running local errands
  • Organizing quotes, receipts, documents, and information
  • Making phone calls and handling follow-ups
  • Helping make sure projects actually get completed Approximately 10-20 hours per week to start with a flexible schedule.
Pay:
$15
  • 18 per hour depending on ability and performance.
You should:
  • Be dependable and organized
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Be comfortable driving around Gainesville as needed
  • Be comfortable making phone calls
  • Be comfortable using a computer and smartphone
  • Communicate clearly
  • Be able to work independently
  • Be willing to handle both in-person and phone/computer tasks
