Job Description
Description We are looking for a highly organized Administrative Assistant to provide dependable administrative support in Marietta, Georgia. This Contract position plays an important role in helping academic and office operations run smoothly by supporting leadership, faculty, students, and visitors with scheduling, documentation, and day-to-day coordination. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and strong service standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Dean's Office, faculty, and administrative staff with a wide range of daily office and coordination tasks.
- Organize calendars, arrange appointments, and coordinate meeting logistics, including materials, space reservations, and follow-up items.
- Create, edit, and format agendas, reports, presentations, correspondence, and spreadsheets for academic and administrative use.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical records while handling sensitive information with discretion and care.
- Process routine administrative paperwork such as forms, invoices, purchase requests, and reimbursement documentation.
- Monitor departmental schedules and communicate updates related to classes, meetings, events, and other academic activities.
- Prepare materials and provide logistical support for orientations, accreditation-related activities, meetings, and special events.
- Track deadlines for documents, reports, and scheduled activities, and send timely reminders to appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist with office supply management, inventory needs, and coordination with departments such as HR, IT, Facilities, Academic Affairs, Registrar, and Events Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or higher is preferred.
- At least three years of experience in administrative support, office coordination, customer service, or a similar function.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage calendars, schedule meetings, prepare clear documents, and maintain organized records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused and thorough approach.
- Ability to balance multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working independently, exercising sound judgment, and handling confidential information appropriately.
