Job Description

Overview Why Work at M2: M2 Volleyball Club is one of the fastest-growing competitive youth volleyball organizations in the Atlanta area. We're hiring 2 Front Desk & Administrative Assistants — one for our Chamblee location and one for our Peachtree Corners location — to be the warm, professional first impression our athletes, families, coaches, and visitors get every time they walk through the door. About M2 Volleyball Club M2 Volleyball Club is a competitive youth volleyball organization built around athlete development, strong relationships, and a welcoming family environment. We are committed to providing high-quality volleyball training while creating a place where athletes, families, coaches, and visitors feel respected, supported, and valued. Position Summary The Front Desk & Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact for athletes, parents, coaches, and visitors entering M2 Volleyball Club. This person must be naturally friendly, proactive, discreet, and professional — someone who greets everyone with a genuine smile. For this role, how you treat people and make them feel is just as important as completing the administrative side of the job. The ideal candidate enjoys working with families, communicates clearly, stays calm when handling concerns, and understands the importance of good judgment in an environment that serves children and teenagers. What Makes You a Great Fit A genuinely warm, friendly personality with a smile that puts people at ease. Proactive — you notice what needs doing and take care of it before being asked. Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive information about athletes, families, and staff. Excellent manners, patience, and emotional maturity with children, teens, and parents. Clear, professional communication — in person, by phone, and in writing. Good judgment and a calm, solution-oriented approach to sensitive situations. Strong organization and the ability to juggle several responsibilities in a busy environment. Dependable, punctual, and consistent with attendance. Comfortable learning registration, scheduling, and payment systems. Key Responsibilities Guest & Family Experience Welcome athletes, parents, coaches, and visitors warmly and professionally; help maintain a safe, organized entrance. Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person questions promptly; provide accurate information on programs, schedules, pricing, and policies. Build positive relationships with current and prospective families; listen to concerns and refer sensitive matters to the appropriate manager or director. Registrations, Payments & Records Complete check-in for practices, camps, clinics, tryouts, private lessons, and other club activities. Help families complete registrations, forms, waivers, payments, and account updates; process authorized payments and issue receipts. Maintain organized, accurate records — rosters, attendance, schedules, and administrative documents. Facility & Program Support Assist with organizing camps, clinics, tryouts, private lessons, team activities, and court rentals. Support coaches and directors with administrative tasks, communications, and schedule updates. Keep the front desk, lobby, and administrative areas clean, organized, and presentable. Safety & Confidentiality Monitor visitors and follow club procedures for athlete arrival, dismissal, and authorized pickup. Report safety concerns, facility issues, accidents, or policy violations to club leadership. Maintain confidentiality of athlete, family, employee, medical, and financial information, and follow M2's child-safety and professional-conduct policies. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality, reception, office administration, childcare, education, sports, or a related field preferred. Comfortable working in a youth-focused environment. Available for the full-time schedule required by the club, including some evenings and weekends. Must pass any background screening required for working around minors. Experience in volleyball or youth sports is helpful but not required. Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus. Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $20.00/hour — above the Atlanta-area average for front desk and reception roles. Full-time position with a consistent schedule. Benefits to be discussed during the interview — potential options include flexible scheduling, discounted or complimentary M2 programs for employees' children, performance bonuses, and growth opportunities within the club. The Right Person for M2 The right candidate understands that the front desk sets the tone for the entire club. We're looking for someone who will learn athletes' and parents' names, treat every family with kindness, represent M2 professionally, and help protect the positive, family-oriented environment we value.
