Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused DME Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our Durable Medical Equipment company. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support, assist patients and referral sources, maintain accurate documentation, and help ensure compliance with Medicare, commercial insurance, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls and provide excellent customer service to patients, referral sources, and healthcare providers. Process new patient referrals and verify required documentation. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Prepare and maintain patient files in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with physicians' offices to obtain prescriptions, medical records, and supporting documentation. Schedule equipment deliveries, pickups, and service appointments. Track orders and follow up on outstanding documentation. Assist with billing preparation and claim documentation. Maintain accurate records within the DME software system. Scan, file, and organize electronic and paper documents. Communicate effectively with warehouse, delivery, billing, and clinical staff. Monitor inventory-related paperwork and equipment tracking. Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality. Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, copying, and office support.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
