An Administrative Clerk or Coordinator performs administrative work in an office. Coordinates work to support an office team. Works in a wide variety of office settings, such as a company or business, or a government office or school. Manages paper and electronic files, uses office equipment including computers, responds to phone calls and emails. May manage office staff expenses, supplies or schedules.

Provide a variety of routine to moderately complex office support services for the Clerk's Office. This is a fast-paced job that requires the ability to multi-task and pivot from task-to-task in an efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
§ Customer Service - In person, drive thru window, and phone. § Customer Service - Be proficient with all City policies to answer customer questions and concerns. § Sign customers up for new City services. § Tagging and turning off delinquent accounts. § Receipt money for all City services. (Golf, Library, Building, Swim, Animal Control) § Balance money daily. § Process checks for the bank. § Pickup mail from post office and process. § Process collections and collection notices § Sort and file for all departments. § Maintain Cemetery Records § Organize data and records both physically and digitally under direction of City Clerk. § Facilitate annual level pay calculations § Keep office inventory. § Process parking tickets and notices for delinquent tickets § General support to the Clerk's office.

(Up to 80% of the day) Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with hostile people. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move from a sitting position, standing and walk to wait on customers. The employee must also stoop, bend, and reach. The employee will periodically lift or move copy paper boxes or file boxes. Position Type/ Expect Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional compensation time will be earned as Clerk requests. Required Education and Experience Equivalent to a High School Diploma and knowledge of basic accounting practices. Preferred Education and Experience Equivalent to a High School Diploma and two or more years of experience in an office setting or related experience. Spanish speaking preferred. Correct English and (Spanish) usage, including spelling, grammar and punctuation required. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Basic office practices and procedures, including filing and operation of the 10-key adding machine, computer entry, word processing, phones, fax, printer, and copy machines. Must be able to meet special requirements for confidentiality.
