Every member of our team is a valuable resource in this pursuit of excellence, and we are currently seeking a Transportation Secretary!

What your day will look like:

You will assist the Directors of Transportation and other staff to provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the school district's curriculum and extra-curricular programs.

This will include:

Receiving and directing incoming telephone calls.

Maintaining radio communication with corporation vehicles and dispatching route buses.

Maintaining records of all instructional field trips and extra-curricular field trips.

Scheduling field trips.

Assigning sub-drivers to route vacancies.

Reviewing timesheets and accurately entering employee hours to Payroll.

Maintaining DOT files for all drivers.

Maintaining all driver files, assuring that all documents are current and accurate.

Responsible for general communication to teachers, staff, parents and students, etc.

Performing routine clerical duties.

Performing other duties and responsibilities as required.

Sub drives for route vacancies as needed (if youhave a valid CDL).

This position is a 205 day, 40 hour a week position.

You have worked hard to earn a H.S. Diploma or equivalency.

You have experience in an office setting, such as office manager, administrative assistant, data entry or customer service.

You have experience with computers and office equipment, including Google and Microsoft systems (Word, Excel), and the ability to learn new software.

You are detail oriented and accurate with numbers, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

You are able to multitask within a fast paced, high-pressure environment.

Valid Indiana CDL with P and S endorsements are preferred, but not required.
