Job Description
This is not a quiet front desk job. Our Front Office Assistants are the hub of the clinic —managing phones, schedules, patients, and providers all at once. It can get busy quickly, and the pace doesn't slow down much during the day. You will be expected to handle phones, scheduling, and in-person client interactions at the same time , often in a high-volume environment. If you enjoy staying busy, helping people, and keeping things organized, this role can be a great fit. What You'll Actually Be Doing Answering phones and assisting clients with scheduling and questions Managing provider schedules and filling open appointment slots Checking patients in and out throughout the day Collecting copays and handling basic financial transactions Verifying insurance and updating patient information Communicating with providers and keeping them informed of schedule changes Completing documentation and working within our EMR system What You Need to Qualify High School Diploma or GED Customer service experience (medical office experience is a plus) Comfortable using computers and learning new systems Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced environment What Will Make You Successful You stay calm when things get busy You can multitask without getting overwhelmed You're friendly but also efficient You pay attention to details (especially with scheduling and insurance) You're dependable and consistent A Quick Reality Check This role is: ✔ Fast-paced ✔ People-focused ✔ Essential to daily operations But it also requires: Multitasking Patience Strong communication Attention to detail Why Astra?
