Our fast-paced personal injury practice thrives on organization, accuracy, and efficiency. We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team and help keep our firm running smoothly. Position Overview As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing case files, entering medical records and client details, and ensuring our legal management system is fully up to date. You will work closely with our legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys to ensure accurate and timely processing of personal injury case data.
Key Responsibilities Data Input & Case Tracking:
Input client intake information, medical records, billing statements, police reports, and insurance details into our legal case management software ([e.g., SmartAdvocate, TrialWorks, Clio, Neos, Casepeer]).
Document Management:
Scan, index, label, and organize high volumes of digital and physical legal documents.
Record Verification:
Cross-check entered data against source documents to ensure 100% accuracy and consistency.
Medical & Settlement Ledger Updates:
Assist in updating medical treatment logs and ledger details for ongoing claims.
File Maintenance:
Audit existing electronic case files for missing documentation or outdated information.
Confidentiality:
Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and legal confidentiality standards at all times.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1-2 years of data entry experience (prior experience in a legal environment, medical office, or personal injury law firm is a strong plus).
Speed & Accuracy:
High-speed typing skills (50+ WPM preferred) with an extremely low error rate.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and comfortable learning new case management platforms.
Detail-Oriented:
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Communication:
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Reliability:
Strong work ethic, ability to handle sensitive information, and capacity to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
