This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, working with volunteers, and contributing to a mission-driven organization that serves the community. As a FoodNet Services Coordinator, you will assist with preparing food distributions, coordinating and supporting volunteers, maintaining organized inventory and storage areas, and assisting with deliveries and community outreach activities. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes by helping ensure FoodNet distributions are organized, efficient, and accessible to the individuals and communities we serve. Key Responsibilities Assist with assembling and preparing FoodNet bags and supplies for distribution Ensure food bags, supplies, and related materials are accurately prepared, organized, and ready for distribution Support a positive and welcoming environment while providing an exceptional volunteer experience Assist volunteers with signing in and out, orienting them to assigned duties, and providing support throughout their shifts Assist with loading and unloading food donations, supplies, and distribution materials Maintain organized inventory and storage areas in accordance with organizational standards for cleanliness, safety, and organization Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Assist with food distribution activities and community outreach events as needed Deliver non-perishable food bags, supplies, and distribution materials to various locations throughout Acadiana using company-owned vehicles when necessary Follow appropriate safety procedures when handling, loading, transporting, and distributing food and supplies Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, community partners, and individuals receiving services Support the FoodNet team with additional operational needs as assigned Uphold Catholic Charities of Acadiana's mission, values, and standards of professionalism in all interactions Job Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Must demonstrate reliability through promptness and consistent attendance Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to successfully multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Ability and willingness to load and unload supplies and lift at least 30 lbs. Ability to work effectively and professionally with staff, volunteers, and community members Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to assist with changing operational needs Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on FoodNet distribution and operational needs Employees operating company-owned vehicles must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with an appropriate driving record
