Responsibilities Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients with proper food handling techniques. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring the dining area remains clean and inviting. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and other cleaning tools, adhering to all kitchen health and safety standards. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Maintain a high level of sanitation throughout the kitchen area by following strict sanitation protocols and cleaning schedules. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods, including assisting with catering or banquet setups when required. Skills Strong understanding of food safety management and sanitation practices in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Experience in food service environments with knowledge of food handling procedures. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items comfortably. Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep tasks when necessary. Prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen sanitation roles preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to support a fast-paced work environment focused on hospitality excellence.
