They manage daily office operations, support pastoral staff, and coordinate church communications. Key duties include producing worship bulletins, managing facility calendars, and updating official membership records in alignment with the Book of Discipline. Core Responsibilities Administrative & Clerical
  • Act as the first point of contact, warmly greeting visitors and answering church phone calls and emails.
  • Maintain and organize both physical and digital church files.
  • Order and manage the inventory of office supplies, print materials, and equipment. On
  • Assist with organizing logistics for funerals, weddings, and special seasonal events. Communications & Media
  • Prepare, format, and print the weekly worship bulletins.
  • Compile, format, and distribute the monthly or weekly church newsletter.
  • Manage digital communications, including website updates and church social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
  • Send out mass emails, automated phone alerts, and congregational letters. Records & Operations
  • Maintain the master church calendar and coordinate building usage/room reservations for both church ministries and outside groups.
  • Manage membership records (baptisms, professions of faith, weddings, and deaths) and assist with preparing reports for the annual Charge Conference.
  • Provide administrative support to the Pastor, committees, and ministry teams (e.g., printing materials, copying, and filing Trustee paperwork).
  • Record weekly receivables, run monthly reports to administrative council and quarterly reports to donors. Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Church Management Systems (CMS) such as church windows.
  • Exceptional organization, written communication, and graphic design skills (Canva, Publisher).
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • A welcoming, patient, and professional demeanor consistent with the church's ministry.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
