The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a commitment to early childhood education and the ability to engage with children in a positive and effective manner. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration. Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students and create weekly lesson plans. Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain discipline and encourage positive interactions among children. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns. Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience. Provide early intervention strategies for children who may require additional support. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones. Create monthly newsletters for families and set up special events Yearly educator evaluations Maintaining children and staff files to meet regulation and program expectations Staff meeting participation as a leader Classroom set up and organization Working in classrooms as needed to support children, educators, or ratio coverage when circumstances arise. Skills Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and strategies for engaging young learners. Experience working with students in a preschool or childcare setting is essential and a MUST. Ability to develop lesson plans that align with educational standards while being creative and fun. Proficiency in behavior management practices to foster a positive classroom environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience in a school setting is mandatory. Strong technical skills - especially for: Brightwheel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs Patient, calm and loving personality a Massachusetts background check including fingerprinting is required prior to beginning employment, as well as medical clearance from a physician current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire EEC Essentials Training 2.0 Certificate and both Potential Provider Training's done before hire Ability to step into a classroom at any time needed Be able to implement curriculum, activities, and routines including circle time, structured lessons/activities, snack and meal times, light cleaning, diaper changes and potty training Education EEC Lead Teacher Certified Toddler Experience Preferred 2+ years working in a preschool or Toddler setting Join us in shaping the future of our youngest learners by providing them with the foundational skills they need to thrive!
