Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Boston Higashi School | Randolph, Massachusetts | Entry level salary starting at $50,000 per year About Boston Higashi School Boston Higashi School is a year-round, nonprofit school serving children and young adults with autism and related developmental differences. Through our internationally recognized Daily Life Therapy® approach, we support students' academic, social, physical, and emotional development in a highly structured and collaborative environment. Our residential program provides students with a safe and supportive living environment where they can build independence, strengthen daily living skills, and participate fully in the school community. About the Position Boston Higashi School is seeking an organized, dependable, and collaborative Administrative Assistant to support the daily administrative operations of the residential program and school leadership team. This position plays an important role in maintaining department communications, staff training records, meeting documentation, forms, attendance records, and other administrative systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to communicate effectively with employees and members of the school's leadership team. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and clerical support to members of the school's leadership team and residential program. Serve as a central point of contact for residential department communications. Assist with communicating announcements, updates, and important information to staff. Maintain and update residential department paperwork, forms, files, and other required documentation. Maintain current staff and student phone lists. Track and maintain staff attendance, in-service participation, and required training records. Assist with the orientation and training of new employees as directed. Support the development and implementation of new forms, procedures, and administrative systems. Attend weekly leadership or department meetings and prepare clear and accurate meeting minutes. Attend afternoon meetings and share relevant announcements and information. Provide reception desk coverage as needed. Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned by school administration. Qualifications Previous administrative, office, school, residential, healthcare, or human-services experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a busy environment. Strong computer skills, including experience with email, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace. Ability to work collaboratively with employees, supervisors, and members of the leadership team. Dependable attendance and a professional, service-oriented approach. Why Join Boston Higashi School?
