Job Description
Pilgrim Congregational Church is searching for a part-time office administrator to work approximately 8 hours per week, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but days are negotiable. Salary will be $18 per hour. Please email pilgrimchurch02780@gmail.com with a resume if interested in the position.
Office Administrator Job Description Skills Required:
- Good computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, book keeping, desktop publishing
- Good clerical skills including typing, filing, record keeping
- Strong interpersonal skills and superior oral and written skills are desired Personal Traits required:

- Possess great people skills, be positive and helpful with others
- Be organized and productive, a self-starter
- Be trustworthy, discreet, flexible, and reliable Job responsibilities:
- Be the contact point for all non-ministerial church needs, supporting the Pastor, church ministries, Church Council, Teams, and Committees
- Clerical and administrative support for the Pastor
- Oversee all activities of the church office
- Communications, follow-up, and responses for mail, email, voice mail, etc.
- Change outside sign notices or sayings
- Coordinate church events with the Pastor, Council and Teams
- Forward requests for special events such as weddings, funerals, receptions, baptisms to the Church Council
- Schedule and coordinate use of the church by outside groups, posting on office and Fellowship Hall calendars
- Oversee authorized purchasing of supplies for the church
- Publishing the church newsletter (the Crier) both online and on paper
- Assist the Pastor and organist in the preparation of the weekly bulletin for worship services
- Other tasks as directed by the
