Job Description

About DSI Dominion Sciences Initiative, LLC (DSI) is a growing Maryland-based company supporting federal biomedical research, infectious-disease programs, genomics, biosurveillance, acquisition, and scientific program execution. The Position DSI is seeking a Technical Research Administrative Support Specialist to support day-to-day operations of multidisciplinary infectious-disease and bioinformatics research programs. This is not a general office-administration position. The successful candidate will work within a scientific environment supporting research documentation, logistics, travel, procurement, sample shipping, records, and program coordination. Responsibilities Provide administrative and operational support to laboratory research programs. Prepare, organize, track, and maintain research-program documentation and records. Support preparation of technical reports, presentations, meeting materials, and correspondence. Coordinate meetings, schedules, action items, and research-program activities. Support domestic and international travel planning and documentation. Assist with procurement tracking, supplies, equipment, inventories, and other research logistics. Support preparation and tracking of sample shipments, including international shipments when required. Maintain organized electronic and physical program records. Support monthly reporting, data calls, status tracking, and deliverable coordination. Work with scientists, bioinformaticians, Government personnel, logistics staff, and external research partners. Assist with laboratory and program administrative processes while maintaining appropriate handling of sensitive information. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a scientific or management discipline. Experience supporting laboratory, research, scientific, technical, or comparable program operations. Strong organizational, documentation, written communication, and attention-to-detail skills. Proficiency with standard office productivity software. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines in a technical environment. Ability to understand foundational scientific terminology and concepts sufficiently to support research personnel. Ability to learn requirements for domestic and international biological-sample shipping. Ability and willingness to travel when required. U.S. citizenship and ability to satisfy applicable Government background-investigation and access requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting biomedical or infectious-disease research, DoD/federal laboratories, international sample shipping, research procurement, travel coordination, scientific reporting, laboratory inventory, Government systems, or program-management support is particularly useful. Why Join DSI This position offers considerably more exposure to scientific program operations than a conventional administrative role. You will work directly with scientists, bioinformaticians, program leaders, and DSI leadership and gain experience in how federal biomedical research programs operate. As DSI grows, strong performers may have opportunities to expand into program coordination, project management, acquisition support, proposal/capture support, or corporate operations. DSI's small-team environment gives employees direct visibility into the work and opportunities to assume broader responsibility as their capabilities grow. Compensation and Benefits The anticipated salary range is $55,000-$75,000 annually . DSI intends to provide employer-subsidized medical coverage, access to dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) with employer contribution, paid time off, paid holidays, and required workers' compensation coverage. Final terms will be provided with any contingent offer. Application Please submit a current resume describing your research, laboratory, scientific, program-administration, logistics, travel, procurement, or sample-shipping experience. This position is contingent upon contract and subcontract award and applicable Government approvals and onboarding requirements. Dominion Sciences Initiative, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
