POSITION SUMMARY
Contractor will perform general administrative support to the staff of the Office of Nuclear Physics and act as personal assistant to the Associate Director of the Office of Science for Nuclear Physics.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The work to be done includes, but is not limited to: Coordination of Office personnel actions, including preparation and tracking of personnel documentation such as position descriptions, personnel requests, recruitment incentives, IPA/detailee actions, and tracking of personnel actions in coordination with the Associate Director. Payroll/timekeeper for the Office. Answering telephones. Preparing miscellaneous correspondence for internal review. Scheduling meetings for the Associate Director and front office staff. Preparing visit requests, including foreign national visitor documentation, escorting visitors, and procurement of conference rooms and equipment. Maintaining office electronic and hardcopy files. Arranging travel for the Associate Director and front office staff members as needed. Providing overall administrative support to the Office and other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/TRAINING
High school diploma or
GED EXPERIENCE
One year of relevant Administrative Support. Experience in supporting a team of Executive Leadership is preferred. Polished verbal and written communication skills Ability to use computer systems, Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines Knowledge in using basic office equipment, including fax, copier, scanner, and shredder Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
