Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized Administrative Assistant to provide dedicated support to senior leadership in Lanham, Maryland. This Contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving service environment, communicates with professionalism, and can manage both executive-level coordination and day-to-day administrative tasks with care. The role calls for sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information while keeping priorities on track.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the President's schedule by coordinating meetings, appointments, and time-sensitive commitments with internal teams and external contacts. Create and organize agendas, presentation materials, reports, and written communications to support executive meetings and decision-making. Manage domestic and international travel arrangements, ensuring itineraries, logistics, and related details are accurate and well planned. Monitor timelines, follow through on outstanding items, and help keep strategic initiatives moving forward on schedule. Act as a key point of coordination between the President and leadership staff, board members, and outside partners. Support board and executive meetings by arranging logistics, preparing documentation, and helping ensure sessions run smoothly. Provide limited personal assistance such as coordinating appointments, handling select errands, and supporting travel-related needs when requested. Maintain orderly digital and physical records, conduct research, and compile information for briefings, special projects, events, and executive priorities. At least 5 years of experience in an executive support or senior administrative role. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Teams, or Google Workspace. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization. Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to work independently while remaining responsive, flexible, and solution-oriented. Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience supporting senior executives, board-facing activities, or work in healthcare, nonprofit, or other regulated settings is a plus.
